Optical observation of twin structures, the measurement of lattice deformationand X-rav examinations of KeH(Se0+)z were carried out in a temrerature ranuebetween 25'C and l30'C. It was found that K.H(Se0,j). undergoes the improperferroelastic phase transition at Il7'C (7'.) and has spontaneous strains ej.-5.1 X 10 ' and (e..-e..)/2=4.8 x 10-' at room temperature. The crystal ismonoclinic with the space group A2/a below T. and trigonal with the space groupRam above T.. It was clarified by both observation and symmetry considerationthat K.H(Se0.). below T. indicates two types of domain boundaries and threekinds of orientations (or domains) which appear as a result of the phase transi-tion. It is suggested that the phase transition may be caused by a soft mode withk=(1/2)t..
