The reflection problem of a solitary wave in shallow water is solved numerically by animproved MAC method. The results are considered in connection with availabletheories and experiments. The numerical solutions show that in the framework of theinviscid theory the theoretical perturbation solutions are valid for sufficiently smallamplitude.
