The resonant light scattering of exciton is stuclied, with partictular attention tothe coexistence of cascade LO phonon scattering lines, LA phonon sc:alteringstructures and Iuncinescence, by using a naoclel :;ysteum consisting of one excitonband and LO and LA phonons. Including all the higher order exciton-phononinteractions within the ladder approxinaation ccombined with the real processapproxitanation, an integral equation for exciton population is derived and solvednumerically to give the spectral shape of the eumaittecl light at low tenaperatures.It is shown how the real and virtual interunediat<: states contribute to the cascadeLO phonon scattering spectrum, and how the br<cacl luuadnescence band is fornaedthrough the accunaulation of multiple scatterings; of exciton by LA phonons. Theeffect of the nonradiative decay of exciton on the relative intensity betxveen theRanaan and luminescence spectra is also studied.
