A spin-lattice relaxation time T. of x, p, /7-Trifluoroacrylonitrile (I?AN) wasmeasured in the temperature region of -85 to 0'C. In the 7'j-temperature dia-gram, T. changed discontinuously al. -34'C where the liquid-liquid phase transi-lion occurred. Pressure-volume relation had a break point which correspond tothe phase transition. From analysis of relaxation mecchanism, the transition is mainly due to arotational molecular motion. A temperature dependence of the correl:'ution timewas expressed as Arrhenius equatiort in both phases and activation energies were7.4 >< 10 " and 8.7 x 10-" eV in the high and low temperature phase, re:spectively.
