The average mobility (/Z) of majority carriers evaluated from the magneto-resistance of hishlv oriented nrarhite through B'/(Att/tto) =(c/u)'TO(#') isproportional to T "' between 40 K and.80 K,and T "'above 80 K.The T "'dependence was observed by Soule and is in agreement with the theory of Onoand Sugihara. The range in which T "' dependence is observed, coincideswith the regioza where the phonon drag effect is active. This suggests us that theboth phenomena are closely correlated : The phonon system receives the momen-tum from carriers driven by an external field. If the relaxation processes ofphonons except for that due to the carrier scattering are totally inactive, thetransferred momentum is partly returned to the carrier system from phononsso as to enhance the mobility.Calculations have revealed that /Z=(/Z)0(]TC7" ) between 40K and 80K,where (g).o<-7' 1-2
