A non-axisymmetric wave c>f finite amplitude in the flow through a circularpipe is investigated. On the assumption of weak nonlinearily, the velocity fieldIS expanded in powers of the equilibrium amplitude. Calculation is carried to thesecond order, and the equilibrium amplitude is determined by the condition ofreal phase. It is found that the peak disturbance velocity amplitude for the non-axisymmetric wave is of almost the same magnitude as that for the axisymmetricwave corresponding to the same frequency and Reynolds nurttber.
