A wave of large amplitude on a fluid film down a vertical plane wall is found as asolution of the equation governing the film surface height. The wave, which movesdown the wall with a constant velocity, has two different types of wave form dependingon the wave number. For comparatively large wave number, the wave form is nearlysinusoidal, while for small wave number the wave seems to be the single wave observedexperimentally.
