Oscillation of Orderparameter in the Nonequilibrium Superconductivity Caused by Quasiparticle Injection

An investigation based on GL theory on quasiparticle-injected superconductorleads to the occurrence of oscillation between two superconducting states withdifferent energy gaps. The frequency of the oscillation is fotmd to be proportionalto the discrepancy between the chemical potential for superparticle and that forquasiparticle. Detailed calculations with the help of BCS theory are made on theenergy gap and the free energy in the nonequilibrium state. In comparison withthe calculated result is discussed an experiment on the temperature dependenceof the threshold-injection current for S-N transition.
