Electromagnetic Waves Propagating along the Strip Transmission Line in Magnetic Fields. : II. Asymmetric Line with a Wall of PbTe-Type Material

N'ormal modes are investigated for the electromagnetic wave propagatingalong an asymmetric strip transmission line made of a perfect conductor walland a PbTe-type magnetoplasma wall. Dispersion relatiotts are given for threeconfigurations of the static external rnagnetic field ffg : (i) parallel to the wavevector along the line, (ii) perpendicular to the wall surface and (iii) parallel to thesurface and perpendicular to the wave vector. Numerical calculations are donefor the case (ii) with Bg//[001] and (iii) with H.//(1 104. Results are shown in theco. -q, plot for fixed ctc as well as co -q, plot for fixed co.. The connection withrecent experirnents on the power transmission in the strip line made of n -PbTe isdiscussed briefly.
