Magnetoresistances (MR) of pitch based carbon fibers annealed at 1OO0'C andI200'C were measured at temperatures T from 2 to 30 K. Magnetic flux density B upto 1 T was applied parallel to the fiber axis. The MR's were positive and were propor-tional to B'T "'. The positive MR's were well described by the theory of Coulomb interactions including spin splitting of a weakly disordered electron gas in three dimensions which has been investigated by Lee and Ramakrishnan, Kawabata, and lsawa etal.positive magnetoresistance, spin, carbon fiber, coulomb interaction
