Numerical Analysis of Current-Driven Instabilities for Large Drift Velocities in a Magnetic Field

The current-driven instabilities for the electron drift velocity larger than theelectron thermal velocity in a parallel magnetic field is studied using the Vlasovequation. It is found that the instability due to the anomalous Doppler effectar>r>ears in addition to the Buneman instabilit>r when the masnetic field is arrliedand the neutralized Jon Bernstein wave instability appears for the strong magneticfield.
