XX7e explain theoretically the peculiarities of pluotoindtrced low-spin (LS)+high-sjcin (HS) tramsitions in spin-crossover counplexes, suclt as the threshold behavior in the excitation light intensityfor phase conversion atud the existence of the incttbation period. Otrr investigation is based ona model where a single cotnplex is described by the two electronic states and the breathingoscillation mode with the long-range interaction anaong the conaplexes. As the spin transitionprocesses, we take into account the LS-+HS photoexcitation process and the HS-+LS nonradia-tive decay process. The rate for the latter process is sensitive to the LS fraction in the crystalbecatrse the potential barrier for' the HS-+LS decay is dependent on the LS f'raction through thelong-range interaction among the complexes; the lifetiraae of the taaetastable HS state becorneslonger as the LS fraction decreases. Such sensitivity le?tds to the nonlinear temporal evoltrtionfor the LS fraction, which coincides witlt the experitnental restrlts.
