Electrical Dispersion of Selenium Rectifier at High Frequency

Measuring capacitance and conductance of the seleninm rectifier by means of the reactance variation method, the lelectrical dispersion was found at about 1 Mc. per sec. This problem is approximately interpreted with the relaxation theory, which Lawson treated for the metal rectifier. Applying our results of measurement to the equations derived by Lawson, the Value of ΔE is nearly 0.05 eV and B_0 (ionization probability B is expressed as B_0 exp〜ΔE/kT) may be estimated at about 3×10^7 sec^<-1>.
