Magnetic Anisotropy in the c-Plane of Fe_2As

The direction of magnetic moment and the magnetic anisotropy energy of Fe_2As in the c-plane were determined from measurements of magnetic anisotropy and field dependence of magnetizations on a single crystal disk of Fe_2As at liquid nitrogen temperature. The magnetic moment is in the <100> direction. The magnetic anisotropy energy is estimated at 7 × 10^2erg/g from the saturation of torque amplitude.
