The rate of energy loss of a charged particle moving through an unstable plasma is discussed as an initial value problem under the assumption that there are no other causes of disturbances than the charge itself. The plasma is assumed to be composed of two streams of electrons. When the speed of the charge excceds those of the streams, the stopping power tends to a finite limit, as time passes, witbout any influences of the instability. A steady solution is also obtained.
