As a possible pattern of elementary particles the leptonic boson possesing a lepton number is introduced and its contributions to the magnetic moments of the muon and the electron are evaluated. A leptonic boson Z^0 is assumed to couple with the muon and the electron in the Yukawa type interaction: μ^-→e^-+Z^^~^0,μ^+→e^^`^++Z^0 (here μ^+ and e^- are taken as particles). Furthermore, it is assumed that the bosons have the lepton number +2 for Z^0 and -2 for Z^^~^0. Calculations are done for the case of S (scalar), V (vector), A (axial vector) and P (pseudo scalar) interactions for the Z^0 boson vertex. It is found that only for the P interaction we are able to account for the observed deviations of the magnetic moments of the muon and the electron, in so far as the deviations are in the opposite directions with the predicted values of quantum electrodynamics. We tentatively find that the mass of Z^^~^0 boson (M≅3.0 Bev) and the coupling constant for the Z^0 boson vertex (g^2/4π=8.5×10^<-3>) explain the anomaly of the magnetic moments of leptons. These results are subject to further observations. The muon pair production by the impact of an electron on a nucleon is expected through the Z^0 boson channel. This process could be a candidate for the source of the anomalous muon components explored in the cosmic ray experiments of ultra high energy.
