Effects of Hokoei-to (Pu-gong-ying-tang), Kampo formula, on estradiol and progesterone contents in brain regions and serum in ovariectomized mice

我々は卵巣摘出マウスを用い,脳組織および血清中のホルモンに対する蒲公英湯の影響を検討した。蒲公英湯エキスは240mg/kg/dayとなるように手術翌日より20日間経口投与した。投与開始後20日目に血清を採集し,脳を摘出した。脳の大脳皮質,背部海馬と腹部海馬の分画およぴ血清中のestradiol,progesteroneはenzyme immunoassay法で測定された。その結果,蒲公英湯投与により卵巣摘出マウスの脳組織中のホルモンレベルの低下を抑制することが示された。更年期では精神的,身体的変化がsexualhormoneの低下に伴ってみられるが蒲公英湯にはsexual hormonesを調整する作用が期待された。
