This research goes back to the root of art education, creation, and searches for specific methods of application. Therefore, I have defined `creation' as `making something that has not previously existed, by either putting together or rearranging existing objects'. Following through, I created lesson plans based on this principle and taught them. In consequence, students were able to create projects based on their own ideas. In the process, I observed the development of problem solving through group cooperation.The objects created were unique in concept and expression, confirming this research as effective in fostering student creativity. In the process I demonstrated that students' self image was a major influencing factor on their results, which calls for further consideration. The importance of various analyses, decision making and understanding of principles was evident from the follow-up questionnaire. I intend to make art class a place of creation from now on.
