We apply the Hadamard regularization method to evaluate the renormalized expectation values of the stress tensor and the field fluctuation of a conformally invariant scalar field with respect to the conformal vacuum in a Friedmann universe. We find that an open Friedmann universe has different characters from closed and flat ones.
