A pregeometric model (or, equivalently, a string model) which is invariant under gauge transformation of the O(N-1, 1) internal (space-time) symmetry local in the space-time (parameter space) is presented. It is shown that the gaugized internal space (space-time) is effectively equivalent to one-dimensional space.
