A systematic study of the Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein (MSW) effect in earth is carried out on the solar neutrino flux from 8-B decay. In Kamiokande type detectors day-night difference of rates, seasonal variation and recoil electron spectrum are found to be good indicators of the earth effect for a range of mixing parameters around δm^2=3×10^<-6>ev^2 and sin^22θ=0.2.
