A new type of cluster internal wave function that can produce improved results, especially for the cluster binding energy, has been proposed. As a first application, we have carried out calculations for the case of p+^3He and p+^4He elastic scattering on the basis of the resonating group method with this type of wave function. The agreement of the calculated results and the experimental data is quite satisfactory.
