Burgers equation in the inviscid limit with Gaussian white noise type force is analyzed as a model for a class of forced Burgers turbulence problems in the light of a classical work of Oleinik. A construction tule for sample fields is presented for a class of initial data, and stochastic differential equations for total energy and total variation (in the space variable) of the field are derived. Significance of the quantity total variation and the prospects on the existence of the invariant measure are also discussed.
