Structure functions of the nucleon are analyzed in the multiperipheral parton model in which a nucleon is assumed to be a bound state of three constituent quarks that are the quark clusters described in terms of the multiperipheral chains in the dual topological unitarization scheme (the soft dissociation process). The hard dissociation process is considered in the QCD leading approximation. The model gives the excellent agreement with the available data on the structure functions for Q^2=3〜100 GeV^2. We also find an experimental indication that the existence of the multiperipheral chain is favorable.
