Normal-ordered currents in chiral gauge theories are interpreted as the primitive bosons proposed by Dirac in his study of spinors in Hilbert space. On the basis of this interpretation, we show explicitly that the chiral gauge invariance is recovered by cooperation between the primitive boson and the induced gauge field. Further we show that the covariant derivative of the primitive boson vanishes. Some conjectures about this boson are also given.
