Scaling of Lyapunov exponents and widths of resonance horns (Arnold tongues) are investigated in both sub- and supercritical regions of the sine circle map. The calculation has been done for the harmonic sequence of resonances with rotation number ρ_p=1/p, up to period p〜O(10^3). New numerical results were obtained for the widths of resonance horns and for Lyapunov exponents of stable solutions in the supercritical region, and for the Lyapunov exponents of unstable solutions in both sub- and supercritical regions. The conclusion is that scaling for resonance widths and Lyapunov exponents is the same in sub- and supercritical regions, and that scaling of Lyapunov exponents of the unstable solutions is the same as for stable solutions. These results have practical application in estimates of the magnitude of chaos due to resonance overlap.
