Structure Study of T=0 States in ^<16O> by ^<12>C+α Cluster-Coupling Model. I

Low-lying T=0 levels of ^<16>O are described by a microscopic ^<12>C+α cluster-coupling model, in which the states (0^+, 2^+, 4^+) of the ground band of ^<12>C are coupled with the relative motion between ^<12>C and α. The equation for the relative motion between the two clusters is solved by taking into account the Pauli principle. Calculated energy spectra are in good agreement with experiment. The mysterious zero plus state is successfully understood by the present model. A characteristic feature of the wave functions shows up in the weak coupling of the spin of ^<12>C and the relative orbital angular momentum. Some predictions are made on the basis of the calculated results.
