The wave functions in hypernuclei are investigated to avoid their uncertainties. It is shown that the nuclear wave functions in hypernuclei are contracted by 3 to 5 percent by the Λ-N interaction. The contraction is seriously influenced by the nuclear compressibility. The wave function of the lambda particle is rather independent of it. The effect of the contraction on the decay rate of hypernucleus is discussed.
