Hadron Scattering at Extremely High Energies in the Parton Model

We calculate the total cross section for hadron scattering at extremely high energies in the parton model. We conclude that the total cross section at extremely high energies is con stant or logarithmically divergent and the ratio of the total cross section for hadron scatter ing is determined only from the normalization constant of P_N which is the distribution func tion of partons in a hadron. The ratio of the total cross section for baryon-baryon scatter ing to that of meson-baryon scattering is in fairly good agreement with the experimental data.
