"The draft of Teaching process and Teaching plan" is the early works of Takeji Kinosita, who is known as the author of "The new teaching method of sewing" and "The theory of learning". Tne present author studied the theory of Kinoshita by narrowing focus down on his early works and revealed the relationship between the teaching method and learnig method from the transition of the contents of the drafts on the teaching methods described in his books as to sewing and its learning. Mr.Kinoshita paid his attention on the importance of the drafts for practical teaching even in the earlier period of his study. In particular, it should be emphasized that he criticized the five-step teaching by the scholars of Herbart school, which was generally accepted in those days. It is also interesting that he considered the records after teaching as the important data for the drafts of teaching. He insisted that teaching must be performed by utilizing the intrinsically gifted "an character of acceptance" and "an character of announcement" of children. His idea of teaching was to lead his works "The new teaching method of sewing" and "The theory of learning" afterward. More distinct feature of his idea of teaching was revealed, when "order of learning" and "the learning plan" in the learning method took the place of "the teaching plan" and "drafts" in the teacging method, respectively. Mr.Kinoshita has already had the idea of learning in searching of the teaching method, even though he apparently seemd to convert his theory from the teaching method to the learning method. Mr.Kinoshita thought that teaching as well as learning should be cooperative working of teachers and children. This idea would imply that a teacher must exhibit his invisible leadership even in the spontaneous learning of children. Therefore, the individual learning and the mutual learning in the learning method or the learning of sewing in "The combination subject" would completely exclude so-called laissez-faire learning attitude. According to Mr.kinoshita's theory, the relationship between teaching and learning was as follows; teaching was substantiated by considering the existence of children, while learning was substantiated by leading children invisibly by teachers. Consequently, teaching and learning should be considered inseparably each other in his theory.
