電子メディアによる「原材料提供型」情報配信モデルのための考察

Ever since the invention of mass media, every mass media company has been striving to provide the identical contents to a larger audience. If it is a newspaper, all the readers of the paper are supposed to receive the same paper, and if it is a television program, all the viewers are supposed to watch the same pogram. The audience does not have much freedom to select or modify the presentation styles of the contents provicled by the media as a "complete product". The mass media companies alone determine how the contents should be presented. If the media is an analog, such as newspapers, television, etc., this way of doing things seems legitimate since it is the most economical solutlon. Today, although the Internet is growing and electronic media is expanding, the mass media is still following the same analog presentation style, even in a digital contents delivery structure. It seems that the media does not make the most of the benefits and features of digital technology. In this paper, the potential of a new digital contents delivery model will be discussed. The model, Iabeled as the "material supply model", will offer the audience more freedom in choosing presentation styles.
