Syntheses of the title Pt(II) compounds including γ-mono and disubstituted β-dicarbonyls by sulfur and selenium atoms and tetraketone {γ, γ'-bis (β-dicarbonyls) = 1,1,2,2 -tetraacetylethane} under basic conditions are briefly reviewed. The new linkage modes of these 31 ligands to Pt (II) have been established by IR, ^1H, ^13C, and ^31P NMR, and Mass spectroscopy, and X-ray diffractive study.
