Food poisoning was observed on the most of the students who attended to the party held in Gifu on Jan. 15th, 1980. Epidemiological study was performed and the raw oyster was suspected as causative food from the study. The incidence ratio was 77.2%, that is, 17people out of 22 who ate the raw oyster. Incubation time was 12-62 hours and mean time was 39 hours. This food poisoning was supposed infectious, but the food poisonining bacteria could not be detected. In many cases of oyster poisoning, causative bacteria cannot be detected, and Komura et al reported that the unknown food poisoning bacteria would have the relation to oyster poisoing. In this case, same deduction will be acceptable.
