1 Surveies on the nutrients of members of fishers' association of Genkai, Ariake, and Buzen sea-districts in Fukuoka Prefecture were done about 4287 members of 660 families. 2 The cereals and potatoes, construed as staple food, are taked most avandantly in Ariake, next in Buzen, and least in Genkai sea-district. The amounts cf the partaking of beans and animals, specially fishes and shells, are most avandant in Buzen, next in Genkai, and least in Ariake sea-district, and its range is between 60 and 130 gr. As for the green and yellow vegetables the similar trend to fishes and shells are found. The difference mentioned above are considered to be caused by the co-operation of the speciality of the fishing method and of the mode of life. 3 The mode of food partaking naturally appears in the state of nutrient partaking. As for the calorie quantity the members of the Ariake sea-district take most avandantly, and proteins Buzen sea-district. But, discussed as for the ratio of the animal and plant proteins, in all three sea-districtts the ratio (animal prot./plant prot.) lies between 1/2 and 1/3. 4 Throughout the fishing village censused, the lack of the partaking of the calorie quantity is found because the fat is scarce taken and carbohydrate somewhat scarce. And also the calcium and vita mine A is lesser than the amounts of the standard partaking. This is considered to be accordance in foundamental wrong with the state of nutrient partaking of Japanese. 5 Today, food problem becoming better, the state of nutrient partaking in the fishing village censused is thought to be reised.
