In order to estimate the mix proportion of blended cement composed of cement and silica fume which become the densest packing, the sedimentation volume of the blended cement powder in kerosene and the optimal primal water-powder ratio in double mixing were measured and investigated. This mix proportion could be estimated from the amount of sedimentation volume and optimal primal water-powder ratio. Packing ratio of the blended powder became maximum when replacement of silica fume was between 10 and 20 percent.
