EFFECTIVE TOROIDAL CURVATURE AND ERROR FIELD ON NBT

The effective toroidal curvature and the poloidal drift velocity for transit electrons with V_<∥>/V=1 are measured for NBT-I device by use of an electron beam probing. The axis of the drift surfaces shifts inward by 12 cm due to the toroidal effect. The error field averaged along the torus is found to be spatially varying and <ΔB/B> is 1.1×10^<-3> at the minor axis.
