都市河川護岸修景のCGシュミレーションによる評価手法の研究

In 1990 Ministry of Construction of Japan started urban and rural riverside renewalprojects to improve landscape both ecologically and aesthetically all over the country. Considerable efforts have been invested since then to see interesting realizations nowadays.In urban areas, however, many difficulties have been encountered due to political, economical and technical constrains, as the results, we find a limited number of projects launched so far.In the circumstances, the authors propose to practice minor modifications on river walls of urban waterways such as changes of the forms, the construction materials and the colors to improve riverside landscape. In order to test the effectiveness of the proposal, the authors effectuated inquiries with visual simulation methods using computer graphics.In the paper, the authors discuss the effectiveness of the proposed minor modifications onto the improvement of riverside landscape using three evaluation criteria. The authors refer equally to the reliability of the said evaluation method aided by computer graphic simulations.
