Due to development of science and technology, the world has been becoming smaller and smaller, and more and more countries' deregulations in various areas have been accelerating this trend. In these circumstances, companies need to think and act globally and major concerns are language and culture. More attention is now paid to anthropological aspects of business administration. Discussed in this paper is what kind of language situation should be most promising in a model where a given Japanese parent company and its overseas subsidiary are involved. Language is mainly dealt with but discussions will touch culture in some parts since language and culture are closely interrelated to or interdependent on each other.
