Cyano-bridged transition metal compounds, represented as NaxMn[Fe(CN)6]y\CdotzH2O, are promising cathode materials for Li ion secondary batteries. Here, we systematically investigated their structure against temperature (T) and cation concentration (x). We observed successive changes in their structure from cubic (Fm\bar{3}m; Z = 4 in the hexagonal setting) to trigonal (R\bar{3}m; Z = 12), to monoclinic (P2/m; Z = 2) ones with decreasing T and increasing x. The trigonal--monoclinic structural phase transition was discussed in terms of the interaction between the host framework and the guest cation.
