ZnBO doped (Ba0.5Sr0.5)TiO3 (BST) ceramic was synthesized by conventional mixed oxide method. 5 wt % ZnBO addition to the BST has lowered the sintering temperature of BST from 1350 to 1100 °C. From the X-ray diffraction analysis, we found that the 5 wt % ZnBO doped BST has the perovskite structure, and any pryo phase was not observed. The dielectric properties and ac conductivity have been investigated at temperature range from 30 to 130 °C with various frequencies (1–100 kHz). The real part of relative dielectric permittivity $\varepsilon_{r}{}'$ was decreased with increasing the temperature and the frequency. The activation energy for conduction process was calculated from the slope of ac conductivity at 1 kHz. The activation energy calculated through the Arrhenius law was 0.42 eV. In this paper, we will discuss the low-frequency dielectric relaxation and ac conductivity of 5 wt % ZnBO doped BST ceramics in relation to the electrical conduction.
