Via the Jones matrix method (JMM) and one temporary coefficient, a simple scheme to systematically fast-calculate multiwavelength transmittance for colors in various liquid crystal display (LCD) systems is proposed. It was shown that the results agreed with those obtained by using the regular JMM method, and the computing time for a full visible spectrum (400–700 nm) is comparable to that for a single wavelength.
