Ba2Ti9O20 solid solutions have excellent microwave dielectric properties. Ba2Ti9O20 powders were successfully prepared by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis from an aqueous solution of Ba and Ti. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) showed that spherical and non agglomerated particles can be obtained using acetic and lactic acids as chelating agents. As-prepared powder particles had a sub-micrometer size with a narrow distribution. X-ray diffraction (XRD) revealed that the crystal phase of the as-prepared powder particles has a secondary phase; however, the single phase of Ba2Ti9O20 was obtained by calcination at a temperature higher than 1200 °C. The dielectric constant $\varepsilon_{\text{r}}$ of Ba2Ti9O20 sintered at 1400 °C was 36.7, and $Q\cdot f$ was 30700 GHz.
