Integral imaging, which used to be called integral photography, has recently been attracting attention because of its potential for dynamic color autostereoscopy with full parallax and without the use of special glasses. For its practical use, the scaling of integral imaging is of high importance because different systems have different lens characteristics such as lens size and focal length in general. In this paper, we discuss the guiding rules in the scaling of integral imaging. Generalized analysis on scaling is presented and ratio-conserving scaling for distortion-free reconstruction is proposed. Experimental results are also presented for the verification of our analysis.
