This paper deals with a piezoelectric ceramics ultrasonic motor of rectangular plate type using double resonance modes of longitudinal ($L_{1}$) and width-bending ($B_{1}$) vibrations. First, the motor construction and its operating principle are described, and second, the measured characteristics of this prototype motor are presented.
