Damage tests of optical windows have been performed under irradiation of an all-solid-state $4\omega$ Nd:YAG laser. In the case of a fused silica window, the transmitted UV power decreased by 13% under irradiation with $1.8\times 10^{8}$ pulses. On the other hand, the decrease in UV power was less than 1.5% for CaF2 windows. By using a highly purified CaF2 crystal as an optical window, a stable $4\omega$ output of 600 mW was obtained with a deviation within 1.8% for irradiation of up to $9\times 10^{8}$ pulses.
