The acoustic wave emission and temperature rise of a system are examined theoretically in conjunction with the transient state during the first-order phase transition of a droplet. Four physical problems regarding a small sphere are discussed; the first two are about acoustic waves emitted from an expanding sphere or an ensemble of subspheres. After a general solution for an arbitrary breathing motion with any radii is given, examples of wave forms are illustrated for a sinusoidal-, a delta- and a step- function of motion. Next, the thermal conduction from a hot sphere is discussed and the lifetime of the hot area is plotted as a function of the radius. Finally, we estimate the velocity of the phase boundary movement according to the maximum velocity theory. These results will be useful for the analysis on dynamical aspects of phase transitions.
