The electrospinning method was employed for preparing DNA nanofibers on a mica substrate using a high electrostatic field. The DNA nanofibers were examined using atomic force microscopy. It was found that the amount, shape, average height and average length of the nanofibers depended on the experimental conditions. By controlling the applied voltage and the concentration of DNA, we obtained stretched DNA nanofibers at 20 kV and 1.5 wt % with an average height and length of 1.8 nm and 1 μm, respectively.
