Fault-related plagioclase-peridotites of the Nain melange (central Iran) were impregnated rocks by primary depleted melt (incremental partial melts) rather than actually erupted MORB. The melt formed numerous plagioclase-bearing seams and discrete plagioclase grains, highly anorthitic, in the samples. The melt invasion cut orthopyroxene to form plagioclase with slight chemical modification. Impregnated plagioclase-peridotites of the Nain are possibly recorded the continental rifting around margins of the Central East Iranian Microcontinent (CEIM).
