Color judging method by Fuzzy inference has been developed. Membership functions used in Fuzzy production rules through whole color space are defined by experience of an expert and to be applied to color discriminate region defined standard value and limited value for judgement. The coefficient ki, which optimized membership functions is used to develop color judgement to whole color space. These standard value, limited value and ki are defined in small elements divided in CIELAB uniform color space. By using membership functions mentioned above, Fuzzy judgement of fabric can be constructed at every color value. In order to certify our method, computer simulation is carried out using some woolen samples. The result of Fuzzy judgement is equal to the visual examination by an expert.
