Fabrics shrink their dimension in the steam pressing, and recover the shrinkage when the fabrics are placed in the room condition after the pressing.<BR>In the part 1 of this series, a theory has been presented for predicting the shrinkage recovery.In this paper, the accuracy of this theory is examined by measuring the shrinkage recoveries of thirty five kinds of samples of the fabrics used for men's suits. The predicted values of the shrinkage offset at 24 hours after the steam pressing are compared with the experimental values for each sample, and the prediction errors are analysed for the all samples.<BR>The prediction errors scatter within a narrow range around zero and the standard deviation is same order as the value of the experimental error which has also been observed from a number of experiments using same kind of specimens. The coefficient of correlation between experimental and predicted values is over 0.9.<BR>It is concluded that the prediction accuracy is high enough to apply this theory to practical uses. As an application of this theory, a waiting time to prevent the bubbling, t<SUB>B</SUB>, is defined under an assumption of α, the safety limit of bubbling, and it is shown that the t<SUB>B</SUB> can be derived from the water content and the dimension of fabric at 20 minutes after the steam presing using the theory. The bubbling value B, is also defined and predicted as a function of time after the steam pressing.
